HBRA of New Haven County Code of Ethics
This Code of Ethics ("Code") for members of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of New Haven County (“HBRANHC”) has been adopted to promote and maintain the highest standards of conduct in the building industry among its members. Adherence to this Code is required of association members to assure public confidence in the integrity and services of the HBRANHC and its members. Enforcement of this Code of Ethics is initiated by the filing of a written complaint with the HBRANHC’s Ethics Committee (or other named committee or third-party dispute resolution firm that may be contracted by the HBRANHC) concerning a dispute involving the member's business or an alleged violation of this Code.
Limitations: Any decision concerning a dispute with any HBRANHC member shall be limited to a determination of whether that member violated the Code of Ethics. Before any decision of the foregoing dispute is rendered, HBRANHC may await any and all determinations by the appropriate adjudicatory, regulatory or resolution authorities. It shall adjudge a member’s conduct on the determination made from the respective tribunal. The HBRANHC shall in each instance follow established, written procedures, which include the provision of reasonable due process to the parties and the scope of enforcement that may be imposed by the HBANHC on its members.

The Performance Guidelines ("Guidelines") for members of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of New Haven County (“HBRANHC”) is intended to promote and maintain the highest standards of service in the building industry among its members. Adherence to these Guidelines is recommended of association members to assure public confidence in the integrity and services of the HBRANHC and its members.
